Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and experience working with students or working in a career advisory role preferred.
Experience working with high school students/staff preferred.
Successful background check required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
General knowledge of the principles and practices of career education and general knowledge of business practices applicable to educational programs and students. Ability to be detail oriented with high levels of accuracy and maintain a high level of student confidentiality. Ability to plan and supervise large and small scale events. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, officials, business/industry personnel and the general public

Specific Tasks:
Assist students with college, career, and job shadow information, as well as job applications, resume development, and interviewing skills. Organize and coordinate a variety of business, career, and post-secondary events, including college fairs, Career Connections fairs, business and industry speakers, tours, military representative visits, and post-secondary campus visits. Coordinate and facilitate guest speakers, career-focused events, and the administration of assessments such as the PSAT, ACT, and ASVAB. Maintain databases, student records, and marketing materials while advertising events and communicating opportunities to students and families. Provide classroom presentations and promote college, career, and workforce readiness to help students prepare for future success.
