Qualifications/Experience:

High School Diploma/GED and passed ParaPro/Para Educator testing (or 60 college credits) required.
A successful background check is required.

Experience working with students who are multilingual learners, in a classroom or tutoring environment, is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations. Knowledge of second language acquisition strategies and an understanding of the cultural dynamics affecting ELL students is highly desirable. Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents in a team-oriented environment. Bilingual proficiency is a plus (particularly in Spanish)

Specific Tasks:
Assist in the implementation of instructional plans and curriculum tailored to the needs of multilingual learners. Support students in improving their English proficiency, focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
